International Conference on Multimedia, Signal Processing and Communication Technologies (IMPACT-2011) At Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, U.P.
The Department of Electronics Engineering was formally created in February, 1988. The basic idea behind the establishment of the department was to promote the optimal usage of the strong infrastructure present in the college to cater to the national requirements in the thrust areas of electronics and communication.
The highly qualified staff members have published/contributed large number of high quality research papers in international & national journals and in conferences of repute. The department has also floated a large number of projects to the funding agencies. It has already been awarded financial assistance by various agencies including DRDO, MHRD, AICTE, UGC, DST, CSIR, etc.
The department has strong research groups working in Signal Processing, Multimedia, Microprocessor & Microcontroller Applications, and VLSI Design. This has recently been recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), which has sanctioned a research project in "Signal Processing in Networked Multimedia" under DRS programme. Further, the department also has two new state-of-the-art laboratories in ASIC design and Wireless networks.
Zakir Hussain College of Engineering & Technology
Named after Dr. Zakir Hussain (Honorable President of India, 1967-1969), Zakir Hussain College of Engineering & Technology has been a long-standing leader in science and engineering. The college is being considered as a center of excellence in the various fields of engineering it offers. Though the debate on its inclusion in the Indian Institutes of Technology goes on the Government of India has decided that the college along with six other colleges should be given special treatment in the form of grants and other facilities.
The College offers courses in Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate level. The language of instruction in all these courses is English. There are 11 academic departments associated:
