The key success in revitalizing the economics of both Japan & western countries lay in the Quality management principles of Dr. Deming & the Six Sigma.

Six Sigma identifies & eliminates costs which provide no value to customers, waste costs.Five important steps in implementation of Six Sigma are Identification of core processes & key customers,Defining customer requirements, Measurement of current performance,Prioritizing , Analyzing & implementing improvements, Expansion & Integration of Six Sigma system. This paper focuses on illustration of DMAIC model with the Case Study conducted at small-scale industry manufacturing Crankcase of engine for tractor plant.
