Workshop On “Principles of Software Testing” At Anna University, Chennai

About the Department

Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DCSE), formerly known as School of Computer Science and Engineering, was carved out of the School of Electronics and Communication Engineering in September 1987. DCSE function as one of the University Department having academic autonomy of having its own syllabus and curriculum. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in various disciplines of Computer Science & Engineer-ing. The Department functions under the Faculty of Information and Communi-cation Engineering. Dr.K.S.Easwarakumar is currently the Head of the Depart-ment.
The Department imparts world class training and research. The Department provides state of the art computing facilities to the students. It also pro-motes active industry-institute collaboration by identifying areas of interest and taking part in sponsored research projects and consultancy services. Some of the major research areas which the faculty members and students working on are Networks, Database, Theoretical Computer Science, Multime-dia, Image Processing, Software Engineering and Data Mining.

Objectives of the Workshop

The workshop is mainly focused on delivering aspirant quality test engineers. The main theme around the lectures will concentrate on improvising the programming skills of participants by making them more knowledgeable on software testing and to motivate them into a successful software testing profession.
Participants shall interact with the resource persons who are otherwise busy from academic schedules. Students who foresee their placements shall be benefited in knowing more about the opportunities available as a tester which demands more specialized skills than a programmer / developer.

Interested aspirants shall send the filled in registration form and the DD in favour of ‘The Director, CPDE’ payable at Chennai, to the Co-ordinator. Lunch will be provided at the workshop. Breakfast, Dinner and Accommodation should be taken care of by the participants only.
